Default Armor penetration

hi i'm curious wether the armor penetration stat of weapons (20/20) extends to affect attack skills too, and not just normal hits.
More specifically, would my 20/20 daggers sundering ability affect my death blossom's +45 dmg or just the 7-17 dmg of the weapon it self

The bonus damage ignores armor. Sundering, or any armor penetration, only affects base damage of the weapon. Which makes Sundering absolutely useless on Daggers.

Any +damage is unaffected by armor, so armor penetration has no effect, except on the base damage. Sundering is best on weapons with a high damage range (for example axes, which do 6-28), but it's fairly useless on weapons with a low damage range, like swords and daggers.

Yup, for damage, stats show vampiric to come out on top in terms of damage(for swords, daggers and such). Sundering is great on things with wide ranges on damage, liek scythes since the spike is very good.

Daggers sundering does 3.4 at 17 compared to vamp (3 every hit) that ignores armor. So sundering is garbage on everything except for scythe which I think it still is because it only works 1/5 of the time but whatever.

Sundering is ONLY better damage wise within certain builds that provide armor penetration.
